Item Availability. All items are subject to prior sale. But if you see a picture of an item you like and it has been sold, don't despair yet. If I still have access to the materials, I may be able to make a brand-new, substantially similar item for you. Just drop me a note and let's talk about what you want.
Photo Quality. The items you receive may be slightly different in color than the photographs on this web site due to variations in lighting, monitor settings, and photo quality.
Durability. Many items purchased from this web site will acquire scratches, dings, nicks, or tears over time as a result of normal use. Wooden items, especially, are subject to color change (either fading or darkening) due to exposure to daylight. However, if an item breaks under normal use, or if it fails to meet your expectations, send me an email with a description of the problem, including pictures if possible. In cases where there was an obvious flaw in the manufacture of the item, I will replace it with a similar item. Other cases will be decided on a case by case basis, and compensation may be limited to a discount code to be applied to a future purchase.
Purchasing and Payment
Purchasing. To purchase one or more items from this site, send me an email. In your email, describe specifically what you are interested in buying and where the items will be shipped. I will usually reply within a day, but sometimes longer if I am out of town. You will receive a quote that includes links to photos of the exact items I have set aside to fill your order, as well as your total cost, including any taxes and shipping. After you reply confirming the quote, I will send you a PayPal invoice for the quoted amount. Upon receipt of payment confirmation from PayPal, I will ship your order.
Prices. Prices on the website are subject to change without notice. I will confirm the price with you before shipping. Prices at shows may differ from prices onthe website.
Taxes. I am required to collect sales tax on orders shipped to addresses within Washington state. Your sales tax rate is determined by your mailing address. The sales tax amount will be included in your quote.
Discounts. If you have a discount code, be sure to mention it in your initial letter. I will apply any discount when I mail you your quote.
Domestic Mail. Within the United States, I ship orders via US Postal Service Priority Mail. I will include a fee for Delivery Confirmation (approximately $0.80 at this writing)unless you choose to insure your shipment (see Insurance, below).
Insurance on Domestic Mail. I strongly recommend purchasing insurance for your shipment within the United States. If you do not purchase insurance, I cannot refund your money if your package disappears in the postal system or if your item(s) arrive damaged. Insurance fees start at $1.75 for up to $50 worth of merchandise.
International Mail. I will ship packages internationally via US Postal Service First-Class Mail. Your invoice will include a shipping fee that includes postage and mailing materials. I do not offer insurance on international packages. If you are ordering from outside the United States, be aware that your local customs officials may open and/or confiscate the package, and they may or may not charge an import duty which you will have to pay to receive your items.
In general, you can expect shipping charges to be in the range of $7.00 for domestic orders of a small number of items that all fit into a single USPS Priority Mail small flat-rate box, including nsurance. Nearly all items, including pen sets and presentation boxes, can be easily packaged into the small flat-rate box.
